Compaction

Compaction modules are used by orthogonal layout algorithms for computing the actual coordinates of vertices and edge bend points, i.e., they compute the length of edge segments. The optimization goal is here to to minimize the width and height of the layout, or the length of edges. The resulting layout shall be as compact as possible.
